Why Make a Donation?

The Stafford Challenge is a deeply personal endeavor, envisioned, created, and led by poet and storyteller Brian Rohr. What began as a poet's daily practice has grown into a global community of nearly 3,000 writers from across the United States and around the world, all committed to writing every day for a year in the spirit of William Stafford.

Your donation helps keep this community thriving. It makes room for writers who could not otherwise take part, supports the gatherings and conversations that bring us together, and helps carry the invitation to a creative practice to more people around the world.

Anyone Can Make a Donation

You do not have to take part in the Challenge to make a donation. If you love poetry, believe in the power of a daily creative practice, or simply want to support this community of writers, you are invited and welcome to give. Thank you for your generosity!

Please note that donations made directly to The Stafford Challenge are not tax deductible, as we are not a 501(c)(3) organization. However, the impact of your support goes far beyond a tax benefit.
